We take privacy very seriously.
While you may be concerned about people spamming you through this site,
it is actually more likely that you will get spam from your own web site or email because you have little control over who contacts you through your own site.
Here are some of the things we do to protect your privacy:
Only members can contact you through the site -
In order for someone to send you an email or private message through the site, they have to be a member.
So unlike your own site, it is only a select group of professionals who can contact you. Of course, you have a place on your profile to send people to your web site and are more than welcome to attach a link to each press release.
We pre-screen all members -
We have very strict guidelines on membership & pre-screen members.
We also continue to monitor members for unprofessional activity.
You have information about the person contacting you -
Since only members can contact you, you actually have access to complete information on them since they have a profile, link to their site, a company bio and press releases.
We have strict spam policies -
Even though we screen all members, it doesn't mean they will not break the rules and try to spam you.
So any member we catch spamming will be banned permanently from our whole network.
Plus, we ban their IP address as well.
Per Day Email Caps -
All new members have a cap of 10 emails per day. So, spammers can't email everybody on the site.
Flood Control -
All new members are subject to Flood Controls that keep them from sending a lot of emails in a short period of time.
